His Story
From the Battlefield to the Pulpit
David Speicher didn't come to spiritual warfare as a theologian. He came as a man who needed it. Long before he stood behind a pulpit, he was fighting battles he didn't fully understand — battles that looked like anxiety, relational breakdown, and a persistent sense that something beneath the surface was working against him.
It was in that crucible that the 4 R's framework was born — not in a seminary classroom, but in the raw, desperate work of a man learning to fight back. What David discovered changed everything: the enemy is real, the weapons are real, and the victory Jesus purchased is available to every believer who learns how to access it.
Today, David leads South Bay Church — a thriving, multi-generational congregation in the Tampa Bay area — where the culture of spiritual warfare, inner healing, and freedom is woven into the DNA of everything they do. Small groups run the Fight the Good Fight curriculum. Sunday sermons address the spiritual roots of natural problems. And the 4 R's are taught as a life skill, not a one-time event.
David is also a licensed professional counselor, which gives him a rare dual lens: the theological authority of a pastor and the clinical insight of a trained therapist. He doesn't choose between the spiritual and the psychological — he holds both, and teaches others to do the same.

His Conviction
What David Believes
The Church has been given authority the enemy is terrified of. The tragedy is that most believers never learn how to use it.
On spiritual authority
You cannot counsel someone out of a demonic stronghold. And you cannot cast a demon out of a wound that needs healing. You need both — and the wisdom to know which is which.
On integrating counseling and deliverance
The 4 R's are not a formula. They are a posture — a way of standing in the authority Christ purchased and refusing to give the enemy one more inch of ground.

Where the Book Was Born
Fight the Good Fight didn't start as a book — it started as a sermon series at South Bay Church. David preached it, his congregation lived it, and the transformation was undeniable. The book is the written form of what God did in a local church first.

Fight the Good Fight
Drawing from decades of pastoral ministry and professional counseling, David Speicher wrote this book to equip believers with the practical tools they need to stand firm — not just survive — in the spiritual battles of everyday life.
Through the 4 R's framework — Recognize, Resist, Reclaim, and Renew — readers discover how to identify the enemy's tactics, wield the weapons of spiritual warfare, and walk in the freedom Jesus purchased for them.
